We have a collection of thousands of cars in the Ministry of Defence and Chinese ones represent a very small number.
But regardless of if you’re driving a Chinese car or a non-Chinese car, what we’ve asked our staff is to avoid connecting MoD technology into their vehicle, not to have discussions at a secret classification in any car, due to the growing threats of surveillance that exist in every single vehicle, to restrict those secret conversations in secure locations. This is a wise and sensible thing for everyone concerned about safety.

After it was put to him that it would be wise for the MoD to stop using every cars from China, Pollard replied: ‘That’s precisely what we are looking into at the present time.”
